TheNet is unique amongst Internet Providers in the UK. There are several reasons for this and this section has been created to guide you through a few of these.

TheNet Network.

TheNet Service is operated by Frontier Communications Ltd. upon the Frontier Communications Network. The FCI Network is the largest dedicated ISP network in Europe. The boundries of the network stretch for more than six thousand miles, with data taking less than half a second to travel second from end to end. The FCI network is continuously expanding throughout Europe and the US to provide ever growing coverage.

Bandwidth is an important issue for data transfer rates. A user can often have their downloads and online activities dramatically slowed by a provider with inadequate bandwidth. For this reason, bandwidth is constantl upgraded. Currently the FCI network has the largest international bandwidth of any European dedicated ISP - currently standing at over 80Mb. As well as this we are constantly upgrading, placing new lines into Europe and the US to constantly reduce the chanes of your connection being slowed by the remote site that you are trying to connect to.

Our extensive T-POP network gives us better ISDN local call rate coverage than any other UK ISP. With more than 100 T-POPs, all able to support ISDN2 and ISDN30, supported by Europes largest dedicated ISP backbone, we are confident that we are providing a service that no other provider can equal.

TheNet Service.

As a TheNet member you are able to enjoy more than just access to the fastest ISP in Europe. The services that we provide enable Members with one of our Global accounts to access any of our Points of Presence World wide. Our SMS gateway allows you to send email to mobile phones and pagers, or even have you email diverted to your pager or mobile phone.

Our fax gateway provides low cost faxing from your email and our extensive account packages enable you to tailor an account to suit your business, family and entertainment requirements. Low cost office accounts allow multple users to have full Internet access, including private email, and our fast web servers give you the power to present a professional web site that can be accessed from anywhere in the World. Of coarse, our excellent connectivity and bandwidth means that even users of another ISP will be able to access the web site that you create as quickly as there providers network can allow with no delay comming from the FCI network.
